Here is an amazing top quality faceted benitoite gemstone.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the face of Voltron or a Transformer in the facets? LOL
This gem is extremely eye clean.
It has beautiful medium to dark blue with violet benitoite coloring.
Using a 10X loupe, I cannot see a single flaw, but since I grade conservatively, I will not call this flawless.
This beauty has amazing fire in the sunlight or in any LED lighting. Looks better than a blue diamond!
All photos are taken at extreme magnification, so that you can see what you are purchasing.
Anything on the surface of the stone in the photos is either dust, cotton fibers, or what is known as flea bites, which cannot be seen with the naked eye.
For those of you that are not familiar with Benitoite, this gem is a true All American Gemstone!
All other species of minerals that gems are cut from, can be found in different locations either within this country or around the world,
however "gem quality" Benitoite is ONLY found in this one very small area in California, which is also why it is the California State Gemstone,
and considered one of the, if not the, rarest gemstone in the world!
