Here is an amazing faceted benitoite gemstone.
The cutting is absolutely incredible.
These days, any clean benitoite over .50 carat have become near impossible to find in the market, let alone a .85 carat quality gem, and the prices just keep going up.
This is a top quality gem which is very eye clean. This gem is internally flawless at 10x magnification.
At 30x magnification, there are some very slight inclusions, so to be conservative, I will call it VVS
The color is that beautiful benitoite dark blue with violet.
May look darker in the box, but once light hits it, the gem comes alive!
Due to the pleochroic nature of Benitoite, the stone can appear slightly lighter, darker and sometimes colorless, depending on the light and viewing angle.
This beauty has amazing fire in the sunlight.
For those of you that are not familiar with Benitoite, this gem is a true All American Gemstone!
All other species of minerals that gems are cut from, can be found in different locations either within this country or around the world,
however Gem Quality Benitoite is ONLY found in one very small area in California,
