Here is a very unusual specimen of azurite with malachite from the famous Morenci Mine.
Purchased in 1986, comes with an early "The Collector" label.
This is a stalactite (possibly a stalagmite) of azurite with malachite attached to it.
There appears to be a small amount of replacement present,
with the botryoidal malachite on the surface being a second generation.
A beautiful and uncommon form of azurite from this mine.
