Here is a very nice thumbnail specimen of benitoite on matrix.
The main focus is a small but gemmy benitoite crystal,
lying in snowy white natrolite on the top of the specimen.
This crystal is small, 5.8 mm, but is triple terminated and is gemmy with mostly matte faces.
Complete triple terminated crystals, are not easy to come by in any size.
Near the base of the specimen are at least 2 partially exposed benitoite crystals.
These bottom crystals show signs of either contact or did not fully form.
